Designed by Cossutti Yacht Design, the Italia Yachts Design Team and Arbore, the IY 16.98 Bellissima is a true blue-water cruiser engineered for long-distance sailing. Its advanced hull design combines excellent seaworthiness with efficient performance, offering stability and responsive handling even in challenging conditions. The hull and deck are constructed using vacuum-infused sandwich laminates with multiaxial fibreglass and vinylester resin, providing strength and structural rigidity while controlling weight. A powerful sail plan includes a 98 m² mainsail, 78 m² jib and 220 m² gennaker. With a standard draft of 2.90 m and an optional 2.60 m draft, the yacht delivers a balanced combination of offshore capability, sailing efficiency and onboard comfort.
