We’re proud to present the next big leap in sustainable sailing: BAVARIA YACHTS has unveiled its new electric and hybrid-powered sailing models — the BAVARIA C38e, C42e, and C46e. These innovative yachts offer a quiet, eco-conscious experience at sea, blending advanced technology with the same trusted performance and comfort that sailors expect from BAVARIA.
Imagine departing the marina at dawn without the hum of a traditional engine, and later arriving at your anchorage in serene silence — just the sound of the sea around you. This dream is now a reality with the new “e” versions of the C-Line. Each yacht features either a fully electric or hybrid propulsion system, reducing emissions and significantly lowering the vessel’s ecological footprint.
Sustainable Innovation on Board
The new electric drives have been developed in collaboration with EPTechnologies, a Danish pioneer in alternative marine propulsion. The system is built around a saildrive powered by an electric motor — delivering 25 kW of output on the C38e and C42e, and 37 kW on the larger C46e.
The heart of this intelligent system is the Multibox, which controls both the propulsion and charging systems. Standard energy storage is provided by an 18.2 kWh battery pack, with the option to add up to two more, offering a range of over 50 nautical miles in electric-only mode. The BAVARIA C46e comes equipped with two battery packs from the factory for extended capability.
For those seeking even greater range and flexibility, an optional generator transforms the yacht into a hybrid system — ideal for longer voyages. With the hybrid setup, the BAVARIA C38e can achieve up to 576 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 5.5 knots.
Comfort and Equipment, Without Compromise
BAVARIA has ensured that these new models come with a rich set of standard features. Expect high-end B&G navigation instruments, the signature BAVARIA Sail-Ready package (including electric anchor windlass, ambient lighting, and convenient midship railing access), and a powerful inverter for onboard systems like hot water and cooking appliances.
In terms of layout, design, and sailing characteristics, the new “e” models stay true to the proven configurations of the C38, C42, and C46 — offering the same spacious interiors and responsive handling, now enhanced with sustainable technology.
