The new Dragonfly 33 represents the next generation of performance cruising trimarans, combining the proven DNA of the Dragonfly 32 with design developments inspired by the larger Dragonfly 36. Fast, elegant and versatile, it features wave-piercing hulls, a fixed bowsprit, twin helm stations and Dragonfly’s proven Swing Wing system. With an impressive 8.10 m beam when fully unfolded, it provides a wide and stable sailing platform, while the floats can be folded in minutes to reduce the beam to just 3.70 m, making marina berthing and storage considerably more practical. Designed for single-handed adventures, family cruising, offshore passages and weekend racing, the Dragonfly 33 brings together performance, comfort and Scandinavian craftsmanship in a modern and highly versatile trimaran.

Exterior

The Dragonfly 33 introduces a spacious dual-zone cockpit with twin wheels, an open stern and carefully positioned sail controls led back towards the helm. Its wave-piercing centre hull and floats, fixed bowsprit and Swing Wing system combine a modern profile with practical sailing functionality. The floats fold inwards to reduce the beam from 8.10 m to 3.70 m, while direct access from the cockpit to the water makes swimming and watersports easier.

Interior

The Dragonfly 33 offers a bright, contemporary interior shaped around natural light, practical storage and Scandinavian craftsmanship. Large windows and skylights illuminate the saloon, while Light Ash wood comes as standard and Elm wood is available as an option. The layout includes a generous galley, separate head with an optional shower, a forward cabin with a 2.1 m V-berth and a private aft cabin, with an additional saloon berth providing extra sleeping flexibility.

Performance

Available in Touring and Performance versions, the Dragonfly 33 is designed for fast cruising while retaining easy handling and offshore capability. Both versions feature a carbon mast, with the Touring version carrying a 50 m² mainsail and 27 m² genoa, while the Performance version increases these to 60 m² and 30 m² respectively. Dragonfly quotes a maximum speed of 22 knots, while the wave-piercing hull design and lightweight composite construction are engineered to combine speed, strength and controlled sailing performance.
